She and her siblings sang and played instruments for various church groups. At a young age, she penned short stories and songs, which set the stage for her powerful, nostalgic and transparent lyrics. Niss loves writing and composing, and has performed for major political figures and at venues like the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and clubs in DC.
